2018 World Cup: Rohr speaks on new formation for Super Eagles

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has revealed that he will use the two international friendlies against Poland and Serbia to try out new formations with his team.
Nigeria will face Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Gernot Rohr’s men will face Poland on March 23 and four days later, they tackle Serbia in London in international friendly match ahead of the World Cup in June.

“I hope to try different systems (in these matches), so we can change when necessary,” Rohr told reporters.

“We have played 4-3-3, 5-3-2 already. We also hope to improve team harmony after did well in last two games, while playing offensive football,” he said.

The Franco-German coach also said he will give fresh call-ups Joel Obi (Torino), Junior Ajayi (Al Ahly) and Gabriel Okechukwu (Akwa United) a chance to stake a claim for places on the World Cup-bound squad.

Hirving Lozano’s strike helped Mexico beat defending champions, Germany, 1 – 0 in their Group F match at the Luzhniki Stadium on Sunday.
The first half saw a flurry of chances fall for both Germany and Mexico.
However, it was Lozano’s perfectly taken shot that gave Mexico the lead in the 35th minute.
Germany’s Toni Kroos struck a fine free-kick that was brilliantly saved by Mexican goalkeeper, Guillermo Ochoa.
Germany enjoyed lion’s share of the possession throughout but it was the Mexicans who had the more best chances of the half.

World Cup 2018: Meet Lady who takes off her top whenever her team scores

Pictured is Nissu Cauti, who has been labelled the ‘girlfriend’ of the Peru national team because she takes her top off whenever they score. Nissu’s own brand of super-fan antics first sprung to attention three years ago when Peru battled their way to third place at the Copa America in Chile.
TV cameras swarmed around the model as she took the South American tradition of cheerleading from the stands to new peaks.
After Peru’s Group C opener against Denmark on Saturday evening, Nissu will be hoping to peel off against France next Thursday and Australia on Tuesday, June 26.
She has already posed nude, after a World Cup qualifier against Venezuela.
But Nissu’s most sporting gesture was a promise to strip off and wear the Uruguay kit if Luis Suarez and Co beat Peru in a qualifier two years ago in Montevideo.
And sure enough Edinson Cavani bagged the only goal for the hosts.
Nissu ensured the winners were extra lucky Guays by keeping her word.
